1. Bouma National Heritage Park

It’s a must for anyone coming to Taveuni to see the Bouma National Heritage Park. This covers and protects more than 80% of the entire island. There is rain forest, coastal forest, 3 waterfalls that each have a natural swimming pool and the Rainforest Trail for those who love to walk.

2. Wairiki Mission

This picturesque mission is right ouside of Wairiki. It is dominated by a huge white cross on a peak right above the mission. Built in 1907, there are still Sunday masses. With no pews inside, everyone sits on woven mats in traditional Fijian manner.

3. Lake Tagimoucia

Even though this breathtaking lake is hard to reach, the effort is worth it. It is one of just four lakes in all of Fiji. Located in central Taveuni, it lies in a domant volcano. The rare and beautiful Tagimoucia flower grows around the lake from October to February.

4. Waitavala Waterslide

This is a natural waterslide ride over large polished rocks located near Waiyavo. Located in a rainforest, this exciting and pretty slide is best to be visited after advised by the hotel staff.

5. Vuna Blowholes

The blowholes are located on the southern Vuna coastline. This is a lava coastline formed by the volcanic origin of the island. It is amazing to just sit and watch the natural blowholes. The water shoots can go as high as 50 meters. Besides seeing the blowholes, a visit to Vuna village and a coconut plantation will offer the visitor even more of an experience on their Taveuni holidays.
