Suva is the capital city of Fiji and is located on the island of Viti Levu. Close to half of the country’s population lives in Suva, making it the most densely populated city in the nation. With a tropical rainforest climate, Suva makes a fantastic holiday destination. There’s so much to do on the island it’s hard to no where to start, which is why we’ve put together our top 5 Suva attractions.

1. Kila World

Full of outdoor adventure activities, Kila World will have you swinging from ropes and taking leaps of faith; literally. The adventure park is a 30 minute drive from the city proper and is a great destination for the whole family.

2. Suva Municipal Market

The street market offers tropical fruits and vegetables alluring to both the eye and taste buds. You can find this shopping opportunity on Usher Street at Rodwell Road. The laid back atmosphere of the outdoor market makes the perfect backdrop to a lazy afternoon stroll.

3. Fiji Museum

Just over 38 miles outside the city center, exhibits include items from archeological digs that date back over 3000 years.

4. Colo-I-Suva Forest Park

Birdwatching, hiking and swimming are all activities located inside this sub tropical rainforest park. If you’re interested in taking in the nature of Fiji, this is the place to visit.

5. Government Buildings

Perhaps the only place in the world where you will see orange-colored official buildings, these structures were inspired by thatched huts of Fiji. The entire complex on Ratu Sukuna Road is open to visitors and home to the Fijian Parliament. A rather interesting addition to your Suva holidays itinerary.
