A chain of twenty or more volcanic islands, the Mamanuca Islands of Fiji are often visited by people on holiday from all over the globe. Visitors find lovely an island paradise with nearly perfect, tropical marine weather every day. Temperatures are mild and rain showers are brief and scattered. As part of Fiji, the currency used in the Mamanuca Islands is the Fiji Dollar. Most visitors travel on Mamanuca Islands holidays because it is a tropical escape, more secluded and less populated, with island fun in the beautiful sun, sand and water.

The most popular destination for visitors is Malolo Lailai where a fantastic resort is located, luxurious and with all the amenities. Visitors can find much to do on the islands. The first stop is Port Denaeau. Catamarans and water taxis ferry passengers to their island accommodation. Water taxis are the most common way to travel between the different islands.

One of the most popular islands is Beachcomber. The island has a backpackers resort, venues for food, fun and parties. During the day, the coral and tropical fish in the waters surrounding the island make it a fabulous spot for snorkelling. A snorkel shop is located on Beachcomber. Other islands also provide snorkelling among coral and sea creatures. Many of them also have sharks, but they are small and harmless. These islands are sought for their smaller crowds, tropical setting, beaches and water sports. They are subject to less crime and theft than are other locations in Fiji.
